Four Column hydraulic Press oil cooler problems causes and solutions
1. The oil cooler is corroded
The main causes of corrosion in Four Column hydraulic press are three major factors: material, environment (water quality, gas) and electrochemical reaction.
1. Choosing corrosion-resistant materials is an important measure to prevent corrosion. At present, tube-type oil coolers are mostly made of copper tubes with good heat dissipation, which have a strong ionization tendency and will cause contact corrosion (different potential differences) due to contact with different types of metals, such as fixed orifice plates and movable orifice plates. And the mouth of the cooling copper pipe often suffers from severe corrosion. The first solution is to improve the cooling water quality, and the second is to use cooling tubes made of aluminum alloy and titanium alloy.
2. The presence of chloride ions increases the conductivity of the liquid used, which increases corrosion caused by electrochemical reactions. In particular, the adsorption of chloride ions on stainless steel and aluminum alloys will also partially destroy the protective film, causing pitting corrosion and stress corrosion. Generally, corrosion increases as temperature increases. The more oxygen dissolved in the water, the more intense the corrosion reaction; in the acidic range, the pH value decreases, the more active the corrosion reaction, and the more serious the corrosion. In the alkaline range, the corrosion rate of amphoteric metals such as aluminum increases with the increase of pH value. The possibility increases; the increase in flow rate, on the one hand, increases the oxygen supply to the metal surface; on the other hand, the flow rate is too large, generating turbulent eddies, which will cause cavitation corrosion; in addition, sand, gravel, and tiny shellfish bacteria in the water adhere to On the cooling tubes, localized erosion often occurs.
3. The environment of the cooler includes dissolved oxygen, cooling water quality (p H value), temperature, flow rate and foreign matter, etc. The zinc rods installed in water-cooled oil coolers to prevent electrical corrosion must be promptly inspected and replaced. To prevent corrosion, attention should be paid to cooler material selection and water quality treatment.
2. Damage
Due to the temperature difference between the two fluids, the oil cooler material is affected by thermal expansion, resulting in thermal stress, or the pressure of the inflowing oil is too high, which may cause damage to related components; in addition, in cold areas or winter, when the machine is shut down at night, the pipes freeze and expand. Burst the cooling water pipes. Therefore, we should try our best to use materials that are not affected by thermal expansion, and use deformation compensation structures such as floating heads; in the cold season, the water in the cooler must be drained every night.
3. Oil leakage and water leakage
If the Four Column hydraulic Press leaks oil or water, the oil flowing out will be white, and the discharged water will have oily flowers. Water leakage and oil leakage often occur at the joint surface between the end cover and the cylinder of the oil cooler, or may be caused by poor welding, rupture of the cooling water pipe, etc. At this time, measures such as seal replacement and repair welding can be taken according to the situation to solve the problem. When replacing the seal, clean the joint surface and apply a layer of "303" or other adhesive.
